The species “homo sapiens” belongs to the genus humans, the family hominids, the order primates, the class mammals, the phylum chordates, the animal kingdom, and the domain eukaryotes. This is the full name of our species. But how long has it been since we last thought of ourselves not as the ruler or destroyer, or savior of nature, and the entire planet, but as one of the species that makes up the Earth’s biosphere?
The Moscow Museum of Modern Art and the School of Contemporary Art “Free Workshops” present a collective project of young artists “Workshop. 20'23. Species-specific traits”. The exhibition is held as part of the MMOMA program to support young art.
