Sans argent. Hand cyanotype prints on found pieces of fabric, sewn into a patchwork quilt ~ 150×100 cm (2022-2024)
A person desperately lacks the warmth that dogs selflessly give. The little I can do for them in return is to create a warm art object. For this, I use cyanotype (a non-silver photo process) to print pictures of my pet, Nana the Weimaraner (a breed called the “silver ghost”), on pieces of old clothes and bed linen.
On selected images the dog is often not noticeable, sometimes appearing in fragments and as if by accident. However, it feels like this model is always next to the artist. The photo scraps gradually accumulated, and I sewed a blanket from them (Nana loves to sleep!) in blue, the spectrum of which dogs distinguish best.
